ABOUT
Jadesola Olayinka (Jadé) is a physician, researcher, speaker, and content creator currently completing her dermatology residency in New York City, where she serves as Chief Resident.

She grew up in Calgary, Canada, and earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Calgary before moving to New York City to pursue her medical degree at SUNY Downstate. There, she graduated with honors distinction in research, was awarded the Elizabeth M. Carr, MD Award for Excellence in Clinical Dermatology, the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies.

Her career centers on advancing research in hair loss disorders, cutaneous cancers, and skin of color dermatology. She has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, received national research funding, and filed a U.S. patent application for RNA biomarkers. In residency, she has served as Cosmetic Coordinator, helping lead educational programming and procedural training in aesthetic dermatology.

Beyond research, Jadé is passionate about equity in medicine. She has co-authored national dermatology education modules for the American Academy of Dermatology, served on advisory boards for the Scarring Alopecia Foundation and VisualDx, and launched community initiatives to expand access to care for underserved populations. She is deeply committed to mentorship, especially for underrepresented students in medicine.

In her free time, Jadé creates skin and hair content as a physician-creator, blending medicine and culture to make dermatology accessible to wider audiences.
